Pre-school

This is the entrance you need to use when you come to

pre-school. There is a code for the gate which your parents will be given before you start at Kipling Lions, this code must not be given to anyone else as it keeps the children safe on the school grounds. Please make sure the gate is closed after you between the hours of 9.15am and 3pm.

This is the lobby you will need to wait in until the doors open. Your bags go on the pegs here. Your folder goes in the orange box on the shelf and your fruit/veg goes in the bowl on the shelf. If you are staying to lunch then your lunch box needs to go into the lunch box trolley to stay cool.

This is our messy area where we play with the sand, water, play dough, clay, shaving foam. We do painting here and gluing. Sometimes we make models and need empty boxes from your parents to help us.  These can be put in the large blue box in the lobby. We can recycle most things EXCEPT toilet roll middles, polystyrene and things with sharp edges.

This is the carpet area that we sit quietly on when we do the register. We have to practise sitting with our legs crossed our hands in our laps and we do good listening. We also do our singing time here.

This is where we hang up our coats and hats, everybody has their own peg with their name on it. It really helps us if your parents can name your clothing as well.

These are the toilets you use and the sinks to wash you hands, sometimes the taps are hard to use and you may need to ask for help.

If you are wearing a nappy this is where you will be changed. We will write your parents a little slip to let them know what time we changed you.

This is our book area where we read the books, you can read them yourself or a grown up will read them to you. We also have our story time here.

This is the computer area we need to take turns here so we use a sand timer to let us know when it is time to change.

This is our writing area. There are lots of materials for you to use here. We also have the alphabet here for you to learn.

 This is our role play area and dressing up area. The role play area changes sometimes depending what we are learning.

This is where we have snack. We need to wash our hands first and find our fruit picture to put on the table. We like to eat fruit/veg and bread sticks. We can have milk or water to drink.

 This is our garden. We play outside everyday so we need to remember hats, gloves and wellies in winter and sun cream and sun hats in the summer. We have lots of different toys outside.

We plant things to grow and we eat them when they are ready.

This is our uniform, you do not need to wear one but please wear old clothes as we like you to get very messy!
