High temperature (above 37.8c)

Exclusion until temperature has returned to normal without medication, must be well before returning to nursery

 

Vomiting/Diarrhoea

48 hour exclusion after last episode

       

     Impetigo         

Exclusion until infected areas are healed

or can be reliably covered

 

        Headlice (Nits)         

No exclusion – prevention and treatment

recommended

 

Threadworms  

Child may return after treatment

 

Ringworm

No exclusion providing affected area can be covered reliably

 

Slapped Cheek

Child may return when well

 

Hand, Foot and Mouth

Child may return when well

 

Chickenpox

Child may return once all spots have dried/scabbed and they are well

 

Measles

Exclusion until all clear from GP

 

Mumps

Exclusion until all clear from GP
